For the Adizero Takumi Sen 9, I collaborated closely with the full cross functional team to adapt the innovations from the Adios Pro series for short-distance races like 5K and 10K. Leveraging insights from our sport science team, we focused on creating a lightweight, responsive shoe tailored for speed and agility. This involved refining the midsole construction and optimizing the upper for a secure fit. Additionally, we worked closely with the legendary pattern maker, Mr. Omori, to perfect the fit and upper pattern. A significant aspect of the development process was our collaboration with the athlete servicing team. We engaged with elite runners from Africa, USA, and Japan to gather diverse feedback, ensuring the shoe met the specific needs of athletes across different regions. The result is a shoe that embodies the essence of our racing line—combining cutting-edge technology with athlete-driven insights to deliver exceptional performance for short-distance road races.
