I had the privilege of leading development on the new 2024 Adizero Ambition spike—designed specifically for the 800 to 1500 meters and built with Paris 2024 in mind. From the first prototype to the final pair, this was a fast-paced, collaborative journey fueled by input from an incredible team across design, testing, marketing, color, sports marketing, and athlete servicing. This spike marked a big shift—translating insights from our record-breaking road shoes into a high-performance track solution. We integrated sport science and athlete feedback at every stage to ensure the Ambition delivered where it counts: on race day. Seeing athletes wear it on home soil in Paris was unforgettable. The men’s 800m final was a highlight: four men ran under 1:42, seven under 1:43. Bryce Hoppel broke the U.S. record, and Gabriel Tual had already set a new French record earlier in the season—both in the Ambition.In Lausanne, Emmanuel Wanyonyi clocked the fourth-fastest 800m time in history, also in the Ambition. This project was the result of true cross-functional teamwork—and a personal career highlight to lead.
