For the Prime X, I collaborated with Robbie—one of the most creative developers I’ve worked with—on a concept that broke the rules on purpose. As World Athletics introduced stack height and plate restrictions, we saw an opportunity to create an “illegal” shoe that pushed innovation further than ever. Since it wasn’t race-legal, we had the freedom to go big: a thicker stack, multiple stiffening elements in the tooling, and a focus on extreme weight reduction. The goal was to offer athletes a high-performance training tool that could help optimize volume and recovery. It was a bold, boundary-pushing project and a great example of how creative thinking and teamwork can drive innovation beyond limits.
